For over two decades, singer/songwriter and guitarist Vinny Johnson has entertained Santa Cruz music fans with his own brand of funked-up blues, rock and soul, as well as paying tribute to artists such as Al Green, Otis Redding, Wilson Picket and Sam & Dave to name a few. Since releasing his debut album 112 in the Shade, Vinny’s worked with many South Bay artists, and recorded albums with Carrie and the Soul Shakers and Reverend Love Jones & the Sinners. The Vinny Johnson Blues Band features Vinny Johnson guitar/vocals; Spencer Ellison drums/percussion & vocals; Rick Hornbeck bass & vocals; and Les Rosenthal harmonica & vocals.
